View All News →With 74% of Canadians planning local trips this summer, domestic travel is booming despite high flight costs driven by taxes and fees. In response, the federal government launched the Canada Strong Pass, offering discounted train and flight fares plus park access. The initiative is encouraging more Canadians to explore the country and support local tourism.
Starting May 7, 2025, U.S. travelers aged 18 and older must present a Real ID–compliant license, state ID, or valid passport to board domestic flights. Without one, travelers may face delays, extra screening, or be denied access to the TSA checkpoint. The TSA advises arriving at least 3 hours early if you don’t have a Real ID. Real ID cards have a star symbol and require in-person applications with documents proving identity, Social Security number, and residency. All 50 states and U.S. territories now issue them. Full enforcement is expected nationwide by May 5, 2027.

Yellowstone National Park and its surrounding communities, like West Yellowstone, Jackson, and Cody, rely heavily on summer tourism. However, international travel to the U.S. dropped by 11.6% in March, excluding Canada and Mexico, due to concerns over Trump administration tariffs, political rhetoric, and economic instability. Wyoming’s tourism industry generated $4.9 billion in 2024 and supported over 33,000 jobs. Despite ongoing international marketing efforts, staffing shortages and declining overseas visitors pose challenges ahead of the peak travel season.
